Dragonflies (Odonata) from South-Eastern Iran
Twenty-seven species of Odonata were collected in the present survey in the freshwaters of South-Eastern Iran, Kerman province, in contrast to 11 species that were recorded previously from this region. In this study, 528 specimens were collected from more than 30 sites in Kerman province during 2006-2008. It seems that in this region due to its special biogeographic conditions, species diversit...

Time-dependent wave fields are often approximated using wave equations. Due to the oscillatory nature of wave phenomena, numerical approximations of wave equations are challenging. Approximating wave problems with tolerable accuracy requires the use of a relatively dense spatial discretization. For standard numerical techniques, such as the low-order finite difference and finite element methods...

متن کاملHigh mortality from snakebite in south-eastern Senegal.
Over 24 years, from 1976 to 1999, we conducted a prospective study of overall and cause-specific mortality among the population of 42 villages of south-eastern Senegal. Of 4228 deaths registered during this period, 26 were caused by snakebite, 4 by invertebrate stings and 8 by other wild or domestic animals. The average annual mortality rate from snakebite was 14 deaths per 100,000 population. ...
